Dear Friends and Family,
What a week! We've had the highest of highest and the lowest of lows, but we all we can say for sure is that we are right where we are supposed to be.
The biggest event of the week is that we met Madison (Maddie) and Collin for the first time (and have seen them every day since.) Everyone told us how precious and beautiful they were, but we weren't prepared for having our breath taken away. (Not to mention our hearts.)
I spent the whole day with them yesterday and Iain and I went back again to til late last night. They are very comfortable with us and are sponges when it comes to love and affection. They couldn't be more lovable.
We were introduced to them as "Mommy Maria" and "Daddy Iain" ~ which was a little awkward for us, but we're all adjusting. Yesterday they actually dropped the Maria & Iain and just refered to us as Mommy & Daddy. (Is this all really happening?)
We meet with the attorney today to discuss all the legal intricacies of the situation. It's going to be challenging and possible somewhat sticky, so your prayers are needed in that regard.
And lastly, we want to introduce you to the first of a GAZILLION pictures of Maddie & Collin. Have these little faces in your mind and heart as you keep them in prayer.
In closing, I just want to thank you for ALL your support, emails, calls, and especially your prayers. We are riding on the wings of those prayers and are SO very grateful for them.
